| 742299 | 2009-01-26 23:58:00 | We're looking at creating a desktop application that can act as a portal for our work forums, wikis and database. Ideally it would open on startup and have RSS capabilities, aswell as an ability to dynamically display content from any of the above three. This would sit on our users desktop and ideally look/feel similar to using the existing windows taskbar. I had thought of creating a miniature web page that we could display in a small window on startup that would include the above, it couldn't use an IE window, would have to be a frame of some description. It would have to be thoroughly customisable, and not include any ads. It would also have to come with a full commercial license. Has anyone seen anything that matches this in any way? Does any of this make any sense? This would be kind of like a "portal lite". But for the desktop. |
