2010-01-05 20:56:00 | Hi there, My wife has cracked her new laptop screen, (stepped on the closed laptop accidentally). I have now passed the stage of lecturing her about how she should be more careful with her things and would like to help her sort out. Her laptop is a Sony Vaio. Can anyone offer any advice on where to go and approx cost. Thanks in advance

2010-01-05 21:34:00 | Does the laptop still go if you plug an external monitor into it? If it doesn't it may need more than just a new screen.

2010-01-05 22:19:00 | So the laptop screen still works? The laptop boots and loads the operating system normally?

2010-01-05 23:38:00 | The laptop works fine, there is an obvious crack (maybe internally) on the screen | DT33 (12171) | |
2010-01-05 23:56:00 | Maybe this'll help with costing (take it to a reputable service agent and get a quote; you could do it yourself, buuut very tricky). www.gigacomputers.co.nz
