741710 2009-01-30 01:44:00 I believe it was cached on slingshot servers, No amount of refreshing seemed to help the cause. Even tried various browsers and completely different computers.

The updates I uploaded this morning and yesterday have finally started to appear and become functional.

741711 2009-01-30 01:50:00 why would slingshot cache that much? thats just bound to annoy people everywhere, and take up alot of unnecessary space

i guess its all to just unload the servers

so was it updating some parts but not others or something?

741712 2009-01-30 02:02:00 When I updated a photo but used the same name as the original place holder, the site was displayed with the original photo (place holder).

Edited text and formatting showed up straight away.

For example I changed the bit that said recent News to Specialised Demolition Contractors yesterday...and that was still saying recent news a couple of hours ago., I changed the first pic on the left surrounded by text at the same time as well, The link to the full sized picture was updated but the low quality place holder was only updated an hour or so ago.And then the link didn't work, but does now...

Looked pretty stupid when I had to show it to the boss and he wanted to know why his "suggested" changes hadn't been made.

Then of course I showed him the files on my laptop, which of course brought on more questions as to why those files weren't live....

Instead of bothering to explain I of course bowed my head in shame and offered to cut off my pinky finger.

And to think most of this was done in my spare time for free........

Already have the rest of the numbnutts casting their critical and ignorant eyes over it giving their opinions on how it should have been done.

741713 2009-01-30 02:09:00 whats to critisise, its a company site which i think reflects what you guys do (break stuff that could be perfectly homely for someone) and its tidy. have a beer, you deserve it, but only one, have to many your blood will thin and that finger (or lack of) will never stop bleedin hueybot3000 (3646)
741714 2009-01-30 02:20:00 LMAO, family business, everything is criticised, The ego's around here are giant, and incredibly fragile...and everyone knows everything, and everyone is better then everyone else.....Hmmmm....Kinda reminds me of....me.

Actually, Everyone's pretty happy with it, Not that I would be concerned in anyway if they weren't.
