742468 2009-01-29 19:00:00 Well.. I guess closing isn't correct. Basically if I go somewhere, get out and touch the outside of the car (usually when I want to close the door), nine times out of ten I'll get a shock

Right, that's why Foxy's house should be turned into a Faraday Cage, there will be no static charge inside. Of course you can then never leave the house............. :)

All you need is some rolls of chicken wire to cover the entire house and floors

I used to have that problem until the kind folks here set me right. The solution is as I posted above, which I repeat below:

To prevent shocks when getting out of your car, hold the door frame as you get out and don't let go until you have both feet on the ground.

It works a treat. I never get shocked exiting the car now.

742473 2009-03-02 00:45:00 Holding the doorhandle while getting out seems to work fine for me - Thanks FoxyMX :) Agent_24 (57)
742474 2009-03-02 01:25:00 So what happened to the high heels? rob_on_guitar (4196)
742475 2009-03-02 09:40:00 Foxy, if I get my hands on EHT measuring equipment (Extra High Tension) I could pop round and we could compare the voltage with and without your clothes on, see if that's a suitable place to start. Just trying to help ...

I have a couple of those in my kit GF, available to you for a very economic rental plus a video of the trials. You can choose between O-20kV and 0-500kV, choice depends on how shocking you want the experience to be.

Just give me a call..................

Cheers

742477 2009-03-02 22:10:00 I think possibly she was after shock elimination - - not shock exchange. R2x1 (4628)
