| 742103 | 2009-01-26 23:57:00 | This is how I make it. Cook rice night before. Cook veges of choice - peas, carrots diced, corn kernels, capsicum diced - whatever you like. Scramble a couple of eggs. Get some leftover meat - chicken or whatever your preference is, and chop small. Add a small amount of oil to your pan and throw in the veges, stir around for a bit, add meat then rice. Stir for a minute or 2, add a tbsp or so of soya sauce and the egg. Mix. Serve. Minimal salt and minimal fat. I don't add salt because of the soya sauce. Bit of Fish sauce and Hoisin sauce makes it taste more Chinese style. Ken  |

| 742104 | 2009-01-27 00:15:00 | Get hold of/buy Jamie Olivers latest cookbook.( On good sale at The Warehouse). It's called - Ministry of Food. Some quick meals, and a whole range of good stuff, with excellent illustrations. Easy cooking is the approach and instructions make it simpler. No hassle recipes. We got one for Christmas and it has sat on the bench ever since and used often. |

(My fav is tomato and onion) Put some dried pasta Spaghetti or similar) into pot of boiling water for around 12 mins. In a separate pot, cook some Broccoli and green beans. Put sauce and mince onto Pasta and tip veges over it. Yummm and very healthy! LL :thumbs::thumbs: Not exactly healthy... there's a ton of fat in mince. A good way to get rid of it is to upend the frying mince into a collander and let the liquid fat drain out, then just shove back in the pan. It's not as tasty, but when you see the amount of fat that comes out you seriously won't regret it. Pasta is really good for bulking a gut out though. It's what body builders and athletes use to pack weight on. The broccoli and beans are good though. |
