Nah, it was a copy from work IIRC - only used to test if it could run 03. I was always pretty sure it was going to be slow, that's why I tested it first :)

741918 2009-01-26 00:02:00 If I can get my internet out to the garage I maybe tempted to set up a ML350 out there with Server 2008, will have to get some SATA drives installed in it though! SolMiester (139)

741923 2009-01-26 05:13:00 Have a Debian based media server also used as a backup; which is connected to the TV/stereo

This computer (also Linux - Gentoo) is also a 24/7 media server (music mainly) via samba. The other server is usually turned on just to watch a movie. Both are connected to same network

741924 2009-01-26 05:43:00 An old P4 running ubuntu with Samba(Bloody hard to set up)

Samba is really easy to set up in the desktop version of Ubuntu Intrepid - you just click a button & it does everything for you. I don't know what it is like to set up on the server version.

741925 2009-01-26 06:21:00 I'm using hardy heron....and when I set it up it wasn't just "click" a button and everything set up itself...I followed a tutorial and everything was set up manually lol...maybe it's simpler now Blam (54)
