742181 2009-01-26 19:33:00 Finally got my V-series Bravia hooked up to a UHF aerial . . . . had to put an amp onto the aerial to boost gain a little, but the picture is rock solid, and the quality is amazing . . . . . Had much fun last night noticing all the news readers' frown lines and wrinkles!! :p nofam (9009)

On a different note, just received my first shipment of a new DVD server/player system from USA!
Gonna set one up in the showroom and load it up with some DVDs and also try a Blu-Ray movie

Yeah I'm pretty much settled on my HTPC specs; should be able to build for around $1200, including O/S. It's an ambitious project for a first attempt at PC building, but I do love a challenge!! :)

Did you see that article on Stuff yesterday about the price of TV's etc going up? If you have a bit of cash, now is the time to buy, for sure.

I got my 32" Bravia for $1350, AND got double fly-buys! RRP is $1799, and will probably rise to over $2k.

The price of these things is not going to rise, becasue as technology improves, costs go down. The exchange rate may add to the price, but this will be dilluted by decreasing cost.

Wrong. The $NZ has dropped a lot in the last few months from around US$0.70 to around US$0.55 and will probably go lower on Thursday when the OCR is dropped again.

My supplier has said that prices will rise from 1st of Feb.
