845967 2010-01-05 05:26:00 Is its entry in startup?? Speedy Gonzales (78)

Yes but Glary Utilities says it is an invalid entry. When I start Defender and look in tools start up programs it is listed there as allowed.

845969 2010-01-05 05:40:00 Try what it says here (www.windowsreference.com). Are you running Vista? Speedy Gonzales (78)

845971 2010-01-05 07:15:00 Out of curiosity, why have you opted to uninstall MSSE? Renmoo (66)
845972 2010-01-05 07:26:00 Why bother? Windows Defender is the the most useless piece of software on the planet.
It will detect nothing.

845973 2010-01-05 09:41:00 I uninstalled MSSE as it conflicted with Nod32.
When it installed it said it would disable windows defender and I just thought when it was uninstalled it would switch it back on.
Mainly use Windows Defender to keep an eye on start up programs or programs like Daemon Tools that I am unable to stop from installing itself in the list of programs that start when Windows start once I have used it. I use it and it sets itself to start with Windows so I go to Software Explorer in Defender and remove it from the start up list. I am unable to see any other way to stop this program from adding itself to the start up list, though there must be one.
