845452 2010-01-04 04:20:00 I am using XP Pro as my OS and recently installed Office 7. My email programme is Outlook Express and all my spelling checks for emails are defaulting to a French Dictionary. I have gone through all sources and have either English (NZ) or English International installed as the defaults. I can't find any controls withing Outlook Express to direct the spelling so can only assume that an outside source is providing the spelling check dictionary. Any suggestions/help please. 845453 2010-01-04 04:37:00 Outlook Express doesn't actually have a spell check, its comes from Office.

Try this --Open Word. Click on the orb ( file) go to Word Options -Proofing - custom Dictionary button, there you can change it to what ever you want.

845454 2010-01-04 08:30:00 Thankyou Wainuitech,
I'm considering a bigger hammer. Went into Word as per your suggestion and all things were OK for English NZ. The French mode did not have an option to turn off or on and the three option available didn't make any sense.

845455 2010-01-04 08:34:00 Use the spell check in the 1st post instead (blogs.msdn.com). Or read the rest of the threads Speedy Gonzales (78)
845456 2010-01-04 08:44:00 and the three option available didn't make any sense. Three options ????? LOT more than 3 (www.imagef1.net.nz) From the Dictionary language -- BUT speedys link to the OE Dictionary plug in works as well. wainuitech (129)
845457 2010-01-04 20:13:00 Wainui,
I was referring to the French mode drop box under the Dictionaries list Button in regard to the three options. Have downloaded the SpellOE file and will install in 5. Let you know the outcome.
