744022 2009-02-02 00:57:00 I said close to 100% feedback, if its a spite feedback I read the comments and make a decision. If some one has say 200 trades and 1 red face well there isnt a problem.
I have always feared spite bad feedback myself but I have survived so far at 105 trades no redddies or bluies. Its stink TM wont get involved when a bad trader places bad feedback they just want money from the trades.

744023 2009-02-02 01:16:00 Doesn't everyone have a half dozen trademe accounts?

if not, then how do you drive the bids up on your auctions?

744024 2009-02-02 01:46:00 Last item I sold on Trade me was in November last year - a Bunk bed with a desk under it that my son had - he out grew it.

1st Auction ran for a week, every one wanted the desk on the other side of the base.

Several others had the same thing, even more expensive than we had - nothing was selling.
We ran a 2nd auction a week later - exactly the same item, same price on the Buy now - got snapped up in 2 days. Right time and place I guess.

744025 2009-02-02 02:11:00 If for any reason I lost my 100% good feedback I would start again with a new account .

I don't get it .

If you have 105 positive feedback, yet you got 1 negative, you'd start over? Yet it's okay for someone with 200 positive and 1 negative to trade with you?

I personally would rather buy off someone with 105 positive, 1 negative (98%/99% ish) than someone who created their account yesterday, has no trades and is not (yet) address verified .

744026 2009-02-02 02:25:00 I never give bad feedback even if its deserved I just dont place any feedback even when TM keeps asking.
There some people with trades in the thousands without bad feedback so it can be done.
My brother is around 800 with no bad feedback. If someone asks a question and has bad feedback they get banned in case they bid.
What TM should do and its not hard is when trader is removed their feedback is removed as well. My reasoning being if they are a bad trader their feedback cant be reliable.
But TM dont care they are a monopoly.

It's all fake, fake, fake. Of course not 100%, there are some genuine traders there, have to acknowledge that, though.

That's why I don't buy /sell anything on Trademe; and will never do so. :D

744028 2009-02-02 03:36:00 I had a clean record until I purchased a motherboard which didn't boot cleanly all the time. I queryied the purchaser and after a few emails he gave me my only bad feedback. Stupid trader. dolby digital (5073)

I'd turned multiple items that would have spent the next 10 years sitting in my shed before being thrown out into cold hard cash by listing it on trademe.

744030 2009-02-02 03:57:00 Sell some old stuff, seems pretty good. I sold a few pears of new headphones for 9 bucks Blam (54)
744031 2009-02-02 08:38:00 Tried to sell a TV aerial but no-go - have just lowered the price

I've been watching the computer section quite a bit, there seems to be demand for the usual upgrades like video cards, hard drives, RAM, etc...

What I'm wondering is, does the second hand market on tardeme change during the year (ie Summer/Winter)?
