Wait till earthquake then build the multilane motorways and through transmission gully. That way we will get 150 years of use before the next big shake. What they are doing now and plan to do in Auckland is simply finish the motorway system by connecting them, should have been all done in early 1960s. |

No Nelson and Tasman councils cannot agree on anything to do with traffic, Nelsons problem is all the traffic coming in from Richmond (Tasman) Tasman denies this and doesn't want to help sort it out. They cannot amalgamate the two councils soon enough unfortunately it will not be for another few years yet. All Nelson needs is a foot bridge or two one at the hospital, boys college and another down by Hampden St school and the traffic will flow |

The link has been planned for over 20 years - but the "final" discussions-reviews-local consultations-iwi consultations etc have been going for over 4 years (at exhorbitant cost)... and they still haven't finalised the route! Just do whats best for Auckland and the region. |
