2009-02-02 05:11:00 | Some silent Zalman northbridge heatsinks to replace the awfully loud heatsink+fans in some of my Athlon XP systems. (I've used them before) The fans are starting to spin slower and more loudly, I think they are on the way out...

2009-02-02 08:42:00 | No not that one www.techworld.co.nz or maybe www.techworld.co.nz They seem pretty cheap and I've heard thet they (well the blue one at least) often give better cooling than the stock hs/f... What I can't understand is why mobo manufacturers have to use tiny heatsinks with tiny screaming loud fans on them when they could just use something like this???? thoughts?

2009-02-02 20:36:00 | There are no contact details for them. There is no info on who they are either. Can't even find any warranty info. Therefore I wouldn't go near them.

The problem with those is that most of the time they will stop you from being able to use a slot on the mainboard if the card happens to sit over the top of the northbridge. That's why they sometimes use fans to keep it low-profile. |

2009-02-02 21:16:00 | Those are cheap, are they really that good? Google 'nb47j review' So it sounds like I should avoid techworld.co.nz as they have no contact info apart from email. I'll find somewhere else.
