743839 2009-02-01 07:59:00 I have bought a laptop which does not have a CD drive but does have a DVD RW writer. I have some old CD software that I want to load into the computer. Can I load the CD software into this computer through the DVD RW writer or do I need to buy an external CD drive? Or something else? Dalinda (14476)

Any DVD drive can read CDs - unless of course the disc is scratched too much :D

If it's 16-bit software, it won't run on Vista 64 bit (not sure about 32 bit).

And DVD Readers.
And CD REaders.
