743445 2009-01-30 21:19:00 Given to me a few mini desktop case PC with Gigabyte MB, 2.4.ghz celeron CPU, 256MB RAM and 40GB HDD but no CD drive, not even the bracket for adding one! Thought of putting in an old CD drive but where can I find the bracket holding the CD drive?

Any good suggestions? They are all in good working condition.

743446 2009-01-30 21:27:00 Even if you can find one, can it go anywhere??

Thats probably why its called a mini desktop case.

You can only put so much in it

Does it have any bays in it??

If it does you dont need brackets

743447 2009-01-30 21:29:00 Not sure, if you had an old case you could drill the rivets and use the old bay out of it, then just rivet into your one.
Would you be interested in parting with one?

743448 2009-01-30 21:45:00 What are the cases, most Mini and even micro cases have slots for optical drives ? wainuitech (129)
743449 2009-01-30 21:56:00 They have removed the mounting brackets except one which still has the bracket for the optical drive. If I can install an old CD drive in it, I may be able to sell it for $30.00 :D All other components are in good working condition! bk T (215)
743450 2009-01-30 22:02:00 If you were round Mt Eden, I wouldnt mind one. I'll change the celeron for a P4.

Since, I've got 3 P4 CPU's doing nothing :p

Thats if theyre 478 pin
