744202 2009-02-02 06:33:00 I've just about given up on PressF1. It has become painfully slow to load. On Firefox it sticks at:
transferring data from adserver.adtech.de
A German site???
On Chrome it sticks on:
Waiting for view.atdmt.com

I'm not interested in loading these sites. Is there any way to jump straight to pcworld.co.nz?

I'm on TelstraClear cable.

744203 2009-02-02 06:49:00 Its the damn ads causing the problem, had the same thing the other day - get Adblock Plus from FF plug ins and block the ads, it loads in a flash then - See this thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz). wainuitech (129)
744204 2009-02-02 07:02:00 Thanks WainuiTech, installing Adblock Plus appears to have fixed the problem, though the "Transferring data......" message still appears at the bottom of the screen. TideMan (4279)
744205 2009-02-02 07:05:00 It does say that, for a sec, its normal Speedy Gonzales (78)
744206 2009-02-02 07:12:00 Loads fine here I see no difference in speed at all. Adblock Pro, NoScript and Stylish on Firefox. Bantu (52)
744207 2009-02-02 07:35:00 Yes I am getting sick of all the ads loading up.

There are more and more ads at the top of each page.

And the data messages on the status line at the bottom are interminable even on broadband.
adserver
adbeaueru
inl.buearea
google ads
google analyitcs
rmd.adverts
secure something
fairfax
pcworld press F1

And there are many many more.

Cant they have just one or two ?

So not only is David Kirk taking Aussie citizenship, he is trying to screw us even more and more.

I will ditch this forum soon, it is so painful especially when you want to read each page of a thread or dare I say post a reply.
