| 847361 | 2010-01-09 23:55:00 | All of the sudden my sound went from working properly to sounding distorted. It works, but sounds like someone is playing a scratched record. Every second or so it makes this scratchy sound. It seems to be universal whether I'm using my laptop with speakers or unplugged from everything. It happens on the internet when I'm playing videos as well as when I'm using iTunes to play music off my hard drive. I've tried reinstalling my sound driver. I don't know where else to check. I'm on a Dell Inspiron e1705 with Windows XP. Thanks |

| 847363 | 2010-01-10 05:26:00 | What version of Itunes, did you install?? Since it looks like V7 caused distorted sound. And Itunes is up to 9.02 now. I would look here (en.community.dell.com blems). Did you go here (support.dell.com) for the drivers ? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 847364 | 2010-01-11 01:23:00 | Speedy - I don't think it has anything to do with iTunes, becuase it's happening on YouTube when I play a flash animation on the web, when I hear the alert for mail in Outlook, etc. It's basically universal whenever sound it coming out of the speakers. | lferger (15558) | ||
