| 744682 | 2009-02-04 21:33:00 | sroby, have you tried Win7 on a machine thats been running Vista? Even with 1GB Ram, it runs surprisingly well by comparison :) Yeah, we set one up at work. Every who had a play was pretty impressed .... But I sort of remember how everyone like the Vista Beta as well(never saw it myself) Problem with MS is they allways put the Min Specs too low.PCs get built to the min spec'ed RAM. Then Office, AV, etc gets installed & the lack of ram becomes a bigger issue. Please Mr Gates, Just make it 2G minimum. Ram is pretty cheap. |

I was playing with it for about 2 years prior to its official release, it sucked back then when it was just a slight GUI re-do for XP... Running Office 2007 with AV, and Chrome open on 768MB Ram (Virtual Machine) actually runs semi-decent :) |
