2009-02-07 23:05:00 | I also agree with johcar. Especially noting they're a new user - the rules explicitly prohibit posting for advertising purposes, whch they've clearly done. Assuming they read the rules, it would make far more sense for them to ask for help, and provide the link when requested. Obviously I'm not a mod, but in my humble opinion the best course of action here would be to edit out the link, but leave the post. If it turns out later that we need it, it can always be reposted, and in the meantime this thread won't serve as bait for those who think freeloading off PressF1's high search ranking is an easy meal. [Edit: They also posted at midnight, and noting this is an NZ site, and they are asking about an NZ site, to me that screams of trying to avoid the mods who might otherwise indulge in a little spot of post-sanitising]

2009-02-07 23:46:00 | Interestingly, a bit more digging shows that the owner of the domain and the .com variant, lives in India. When you visit the site, there is an audio byte, in an American accent. I suspect not a Kiwi site at all!!! | johcar (6283) | |

2009-02-08 00:09:00 | URL removed for now until poster returns. Thing is, there's probably a myriad of other Logo Design companies, all wanting that "top spot". Problem is, only one can have it. Funny, in the related threads down the bottom of this page, I see Creightons name pop up :D Havent heard that name in a while ...

2009-02-08 00:18:00 | I can't believe you just wrote all of that.... at 3am! Some people are nocturnal much like Owls. I recently found out I have a new nickname. They call me 'possum around here! Went to bed at around 4:00 am and was up at about 8:40. No I would not have written all that at the time you say because you do not believe I may have done just that. Otherwise I train my cat to do it for me possibly. And as Jen says, "some people do jump to conclusions." And I think that is how some people get exercise. Just my opinion and you can believe or not.

2009-02-08 01:02:00 | Posting the URL here wouldn't have helped his Google-ranking. This forum uses rel="nofollow". With the friendly reception he got, I don't think he will return.

2009-02-08 02:46:00 | Posting the URL here wouldn't have helped his Google-ranking. This forum uses rel="nofollow". <snip> That may well be so, but the keywords would pick up the thread, someone would follow the link, find the website (now removed) and hey presto! As Erayd said, the original question could easily have been posed without initially posting the URL...

2009-02-08 05:09:00 | Interestingly, a bit more digging shows that the owner of the domain and the .com variant, lives in India. When you visit the site, there is an audio byte, in an American accent. I suspect not a Kiwi site at all!!!You know, I do investigate these things myself before I draw conclusions. The registrant's address is an Auckland one. The mobile number is a Vodafone number, the ISP used to make that post is a NZ ISP, the company is a member of the NZ chamber of commerce ... While it appears to have an overseas parent company, this branch is a local NZ one. With the friendly reception he got, I don't think he will return.Yes, I would be surprised if the original poster returns now as well.
