Try this site Goodfellas (www.goodfella.co.nz) they sell a top-of-the-line ($$$!!!) made in NZ DE razor but have Derby brand blades in 100 packs!!!!! or 5 packs for $6 free NZ shipping. Tried them and they're pretty good in my good old (and I mean old) 3 piece Gillette.

745035 2009-03-23 02:22:00 Try scalpels - much better quality steel than razors and you can buy all sorts of interestingly shaped blades...

I agree, you get much better control over your cuts, they don't flex or obscure the work, and for rough work you can resharpen old ones with those neat diamond files that come in various grades. I've got a good stock of the old safety razor types, courtesy of my father who gave up blade shaving in the late 1950's and they are best for scraping paint off glass but little use for anything else.

I use pointed blade scalpel and tend just use just the point,so when blunted I hold with plyers and break off, gives me a new edge.
