| 744672 | 2009-02-04 01:54:00 | Not surprising people don't know what IExpress is when they don't even know what mail program or browser they are using if you ask them. The average person just uses what is in front of them and never goes into preferences or options of a program to check or change anything. Same goes for Tabs, most people if they even know about them don't use them as it is too confusing for them to have multiple pages open. Don't use them much myself actually, don't find any great need for them. |

| 744674 | 2009-02-04 02:10:00 | Yeah I know that feeling ... I counted 37 earlier today (All opened since the start of the day, all needed to be open for one reason or another, all followed a logical train of thought / browsing to get from one to the next). It was at that time when I thought I should perhaps try and finish doing one thing before I started on the next :p | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||
| 744675 | 2009-02-04 02:13:00 | BTW The Home basic and Starter edition's won't be available in developed countries anyways. 7 Starter will be available worldwide as an OEM release for "low spec" hardware. |

I know! :waughh: I think MS shanked it with making Office XP. Everyone then got confused with Office and XP, where as Office and a date (1997, 2002, 2003, etc) was much simpler. It's less of a problem now as most people have XP and Office 2003/2007. MS definitley didn't think that one through very well. The best I've had was: "Im running windows office xp 2003 with vista." Turned out it was Vista with open office! She had a box for office 2003 somehow though, didn't have any disks.  A very short time after that I said, forget it, I'll see you in 5 mins. All I had to do in the end was delete those upperfilters and lowerfilters keys in the optical drive registry init area so the optical drive installed. Common problem with vista for some reason. |

When she popped the bonnet I said well there is the problem. No engine and that's why the car stopped. It turned out to be a broken axle as it happend. Towed the vehicle to town where she got it fixed. In a similar vein I pumped up the Ex wifes' tyres this morning. She tells me that the WOF people checks the pressures every time she gets a WOF. So once every six months I would think. Last WOF only three days ago but she forgot to tell them this time. |

All this time Ive been using Clickteams Install Creator: www.clickteam.com Windows XP has a few that could be useful. try these eudcedit.exe packager.exe mobsync.exe << --- haven't used it yet but can really see the advantages of it.(vista Has it as well, - the ultimate does, dont know about other versions) But I'm not that clever - got them one day from Here one day (www.astahost.com) - some are real common but some aren't, found them when looking up something else. |

| 744680 | 2009-02-04 03:40:00 | 7 Starter will be available worldwide as an OEM release for "low spec" hardware. ie the minimum spec home PC's Joe public seem to buy from Noel Lemming/DSE MS should just make it Minimum 2G RAM,dual core CPU for Win7. This will save alot of complaints about it running slow. Many of Vista speed issues after SP1 are just lack of RAM. It would help MS's reputation if they stopped Win7 being loaded/sold with low spec PC's. |
