744268 2009-02-02 16:27:00 I need distilled water.

Where do i get this type of water?

I know supermarkets sell spring bottled water and i need to get distilled water.

Can someone pretty please with sugar lumps on top tell me where to get distilled water?

744269 2009-02-02 17:01:00 The Warehouse used to sell 8L bottles of distilled water - not sure if they still do. Otherwise if you want smaller quantities, your local pharmacy might have it. somebody (208)

744271 2009-02-02 17:09:00 IIRC from science classes, isnt distilled water just water that has been boiled and then the steam is allowed to condense back to liquid form and collected?

Why not make your own? or checkout Bin Inn

Distilled water is not boild water

It is water that has its minerals taken out.Pure water free of chemicals.

It is also not spring water

Boiled water is just simply water but bacteria are killed during the boiling process

744273 2009-02-02 17:55:00 What about somewhere like super cheap auto or repco as some car batteries need distilled water in them gary67 (56)
744274 2009-02-02 18:12:00 Don't you normally just pour tap water in cars? Ninjabear (2948)

Wrong.

You are ignoring the part where it is the steam that is condensed and used not the boiling water. Boil a pot dry and you will see the minerals left behind.

744276 2009-02-02 18:20:00 Distilled water IS exactly what has been described by Myth, water is boiled and the steam condensed into a separate container leaving all the undesirable bits behind. (If you believe advertising, the residue can be used to slay your foes with ease.)

There must be thousands of these once fashionable distilling machines lurking in garages and basements among the hula hoops and exercise machines. Your mission is to rescue one and put it back to use burping, rumbling and delivering distilled water while consuming copious quantities of electricity.

It seems entirely appropriate that one of these symbols of a bygone age (15 ~ 20 years ago) should now deliver it's life-enhancing benefits to a plant.

744277 2009-02-02 19:11:00 Next time it rains put a bowl outside and catch the rainwater. That is distilled water. Don't use a metal bowl though.
