| 848121 | 2010-01-12 22:50:00 | Hi all, We use WSUS at work and are trying to push updates to a newly-built PC. I am unable to get it to download updates from the WSUS server. I have set the server IP in the registry (172.21.40.105). | 848123 | 2010-01-13 05:35:00 | I have had this issue a few times with newly built PCs and our WSUS server. Try opening a Command window and typing the following commands: net stop wuauserv net start wuauserv wuauclt /resetauthorization wuauclt /detectnow This will start stop the update service, , restart the update service and then force the PC to be issued a new ID from the WSUS server and force a check. This has always fixed all my issues with WSUS clients. |
