| 847578 | 2010-01-10 10:30:00 | If I buy a module of RAM which supports ECC, will it work in my computer if my motherboard/cpu don't support ECC? I know some motherboards will simply run the ram in non-ecc mode, but does this apply for all motherboards? Are AMD and Intel the same in this regard? Is this the same with DDR1/DDR2/DDR3??? Also what happens if you mix ECC and non-ECC modules, will they all work inn on-ECC mode or not work at all???? Cheers |
