746023	2009-02-08 04:31:00	So - This guy runs over a mattress on the highway and didn't pay much attention about it until he ran out of fuel when the ensuing mess finally tore out the fuel line, shutting down his engine . His first complaint? "The road was pretty rough" . I said a lot of "Ouch" "Oooooh!" and "Darned it" as I tried to find a cold spot on the side of the bike as I did the life-slide on the desert floor for over (I swear!) 200 miles as I saw my life pass in front of my eyes about 10 times . Well - it SEEMED like a 200-mile slide anyway! I never told my wife about the hole in my shin - how it got there - or when - at least not until she noticed the scar a few years later . I had a great laugh; she just scowled at me . Rule #1: Never wear a tee shirt and jeans on a dirt bike - in the desert - at 100+ mph - driving over boonie-bushes for fun . Therein lies the Evil Mattress Wire Demon who will stop your front wheel INSTANTLY and cause you to see brilliant mental images of how sto-o-o-pid you are for doing this in the first place . :waughh: There were quite a few mistakes I made on that day now that I reflect upon it . 746025	2009-02-12 17:01:00	OMG lol how the frig did that happen!!!. i concur johcar that does look expensive!! the metal parts of a inner sprung mattress cant be good for the driveshaft/universal joint and removing them will be fun	williamF (115)
