2010-01-15 06:47:00 | Is there a version of Linux that will basically allow me to access the internet really quickly (Kind of like asus expressgate?) using an USB Wi-Fi Modem. My only problem is the system requirements -700mhz processor -184mb ram -20gb HDD -Integrated Graphics Thanks In Advance

2010-01-15 07:29:00 | Any version should do it. I tried Mint the other day lol. Took long enough to install the bloody thing, it wasnt funny. After I had installed it, I put the wrong IP in. Then the bloody thing wouldnt change it, no matter what I did. It lasted 5 mins (after I installed it). Then I killed it. So, if you want to go mad, try Mint :p | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |

2010-01-15 07:41:00 | Damn Small Linux http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/ Tiny Core http://www.tinycorelinux.com/ Puppy puppylinux.org htm Masonux sites.google.com The minimal net install of Debian http://www.debian.org/ Tiny Flux pcfluxboxos.wikidot.com Tiny Me linux.wikia.com Yoper http://www.yoper.com/ Are some possibilities, some will require a decent knowledge of Linux to install and configure. I personally use Puppy, but it is happier with 256 MB of ram.

2010-01-15 07:45:00 | Puppy will run on that, yes, but much better on 256 (less swap file usage) but for just browsing it should be fine.

2010-01-15 17:39:00 | I use puppy with firefox and thunderbird on my lappy and one desktop and while they are reasonably old machines I get a boot up time of 23 seconds. Also keep live cd up to date with any changes on my machines so I have everything on the CD if there is a disaster.

2010-01-15 23:48:00 | Be prepared to think a bit outside the square.I have had linux for over 10 years but still had a bit of a learning curve with puppy. Once you get to grips with it it is great.
