Although retailers obviously provide sales numbers back to their distributors, I don't believe that the identities of their customers are provided. |

ISP don't have the money nor the resources to follow up on disconnections, Telstra Clear for one said they didn't care about enforcing the new law, there are serious flaws in the new policy, there is no law preventing you from reconnecting either.... they're just trying to scare people, I mean really ... I don't know anybody on the net that doesn't do it, not saying that that makes it right.... it seems to be the only free entertainment we can get as we can't afford much in this country, if we can get our hands on it, why not? If we can't afford it in the first place, we sure as weren't going to purchase it to start with. Who wants to buy an albumn for the one or two good songs, and who wants to go out of their way to purchase the one or two songs online legit if we can get it free? iTune's who? | 746705 | 2009-03-16 08:45:00 | I find it remarkable that the fat, money hungry record and motion picture companies simply do NOT put their prices down for CD/DVD/MP3 sales! If these cost half of what they did I would probably buy everything and enjoy the high quality! Remember: most signed artists make about 2% or so from each sale. |

"In its submission, Google notes that more than half (57%) of the takedown notices it has received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act 1998, were sent by business targeting competitors and over one third (37%) of notices were not valid copyright claims." Not really, its probably lower, initially anyway, you have to pay back costs of CD reproduction etc, so initially you dont make anything. If you write your own songs youll be ok, producers and writers do quite nicely. |
