We have already done this to death anyway. The OP wanted to know if she could install Works.

The simple answer is maybe as it would depend on the EULA and maybe whether it was OEM software. That basically says it -- A person can use what ever they want - if a program suits a persons needs - no problem.

To answer mikes Comment -- NO ! I dont hate OO, personally I prefer to use other software, just like every one else its my choice, and I make my choices on several things.

I and lots of people I know have had various problems with OO, so I choose not to use it unless I have to.

What I DO HATE is when a person (and there are many) that insist on someone using a certain piece of software because they believe its the best thing available, and no matter what any one else thinks their choice is always right.

Just like any one who asks me what software to use, If there are options they get the options along with the pros and cons that I know of. It could be OO, MS, or others that are available.

I have given people options before, they have chosen OO because its free, then find out later its not for them, for what ever reason and are quite happy to pay for a MS or other product that will do what they want.
