| 746799 | 2009-02-11 09:45:00 | The labour Government has caused a lot of the current economic problems we are having now. In 9 years they wrecked the place. Every person layed off from their job has only one party to blame, the labour party I would like the whole labour party banned just like democracies in other countries ban parties that cause trouble. Israel banned its Israeli Arab partys Spain banned ETAs political arm Egypt banned Muslim Brotherhood. Turkey bans all religious partys. France trying to ban Le Pens party Singapore has banned the Communist party Talking alot of tripe again prefect. :) |

| 746804 | 2009-02-11 19:13:00 | A politician needs the ability to foretell what is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year. And to have the ability afterwards to explain why it didn't happen. Winston Churchill |

Although listening to Mr English yesterday explain how we are now borrowing loads of money so as to keep people employed by these new infrastructure projects, and we have to pay it all back....................its not too different from household budgeting, you borrow money to stave off imminent disaster - you're just adding to the problem. Sigh. |

Of course the previous labour government shouldn't be taken to task for their actions. The reason you spend on infrastructure is to stimulate the economy otherwise you will get a long period with no growth like 10 years in Japan in the 1990s. Doing nothing is not an option according to the economists. We can learn from Japan. |

Wouldn't go that far  But whats done is done, you cant change the past - the current government may be able to change back or alter some decisions - thats just the way it goes - it doesn't matter whos in government, they will always do something that people dont like, sure Labor made a mess of some things, just like National will as well - nothing is new. I can remember some of the balls ups the last National government made, and the country is probably still paying for them - Its all swings and round abouts - always will be. |
