746511 2009-02-10 09:13:00 Some of the Techs here may already know about this - but just came across all the Uninstallers for the most common Antivirus programs when they screw up and wont uninstall correctly -- And guess who supplied it (kb.eset.com) wainuitech (129)
746512 2009-02-10 09:29:00 Haha, good on Eset :D

In a way it's demoting other products by having this on it;s site - normally even mentioning the name of a competitor's software on their own site is classed as cross promotion....

746513 2009-02-10 09:58:00 It would be even better if they wrote their own uninstallers, and supplied it with their software! haha Netsukeninja (13296)
746514 2009-02-10 17:01:00 Thanks for that, just come out of a session with Avast
- upgrading one version to another, in the end it would neither upgrade nor uninstall
Oh well, lesson learnt... don't rush it and do the reboot when the uninstaller first suggests

746518 2009-02-11 05:41:00 Used the link today to download the Avast removal tool - right before installing NOD32 for a friend of a friend.

She bought a 1 year license for NOD32 online - then we ran a scan and picked up 43 trojans that had been missed...
