849635 2010-01-18 03:03:00 It looks like you have the wrong RAM type for a start for that motherboard. Sweep (90)
849636 2010-01-18 03:08:00 No. As Sweep said, the RAM is the wrong type. Your Case link is to a CPU, so good luck putting everything inside that :P And That begs the question of PSU.

Also, that GPU is *really* entry level for gaming. It's about on par with the top end of 2 generations ago.

Your RAM is SODIMM, which is a standard used for notebooks and some Apples. What you want is DIMM DDR3 1333Mhz. Close, but you can't fit a square peg in a round hole.

Other than that, it all should all work. Assuming you've got a case and PSU for them that you've decided not to list.

849638 2010-01-18 04:05:00 Loose the video 5670 card and get a 4770 a much better card for about the same cost (or a 4850 about the same in performance as a 4770 but uses more power and heat).

Don't worry about going to a 512MB card, the 5670 can't do anything with that extra ram as the GPU is to slow, its only a marketing ploy.

849639 2010-01-18 07:06:00 You could purchase the 5750 1gb from Playtech for $219. This is cheaper than the 5670 you're looking at from ascent and it has better benchmarks in the comparison Battleneter2 mentions above. I'm not sure why you guys would recomment BCD buys an older ATI card when there already directx 11 games on the market that the new cards support. stutank (13595)
849640 2010-01-18 07:17:00 Well that may depend on WHAT OS you install. On whether DX 11 will work. If you do buy a DX 11 card Speedy Gonzales (78)

Like DX10 was, DX 11 is worthless at least for another year (prob 2 years), its bearly worth thinking about. ie Dirt2 has TINY Dx11 improvements for huge losses in performance. DX11 is about 1 on the careometer lol

I however agree, the 5750 is the better performing card, slipped my mind good call.

849643 2010-01-18 11:47:00 Make sure you get a decent brand PSU eg: Antec\Enermax\Corsair Agent_24 (57)
