| 849366 | 2010-01-17 03:56:00 | Hi, let's give a scenario. There is one network jack on the wall. I have one PC and now I added a network printer (RJ45). Can I add a switch and they both can live happily? The printer will be shared around the house at their own network wall jacks. Cheers. |

| 849371 | 2010-01-17 07:14:00 | Generally there two kinds of switches ( speed wise) 10/100 or 10/100/1000, for most uses a 10/100 will work fine, the switch may be able to handle higher, but you need the equipment to run the 10/100/1000 as well. I have a mixture of Digitus 4 & 8 Port N-Way 10/100 Switchs and D-Link Switches, and dont notice any slowness. |
