849178 2010-01-16 04:30:00 Hi,

I'm looking for a good, moderately /cheap priced Freeview Satellite PVR. I understand Freeview may not be available in true HD on Sat but maybe upscaled?

Also can I just use the Sky dish to access the Freeview with the PVR?

Grateful if someone can recommend a good unit that I can buy Auckland (West Auckland preferred).

Thanks in advance!

Can you get upscaled HD quality with the above?

849182 2010-01-16 08:18:00 You'll prob get HD since thats terrestrial, which supports HD. As it says it upscales SD Speedy Gonzales (78)
849183 2010-01-16 08:41:00 Hi could anyone tell me if this would be any good:

I am looking for a satellite receiver with HD like picture quality, able to work like a PVR. And easy setup and that I can just use my sky satellite dish connection.

Thanks in advance!

849184 2010-01-16 08:44:00 Are you listening?? You'll only get SD not HD with satellite. And as that site says it upscales it to 1080i. To look like HD Speedy Gonzales (78)
849185 2010-01-16 08:46:00 But did you look at the listing, it is claiming you CAN get HD tv, are they wrong? andreas.hagen (15380)
849186 2010-01-16 08:47:00 Thats probably because it upscales it. Thats if you use HDMI. As we've already said satellite DOESN'T support HD. Like terrestrial. No satellite receiver supports HD Speedy Gonzales (78)
849187 2010-01-16 08:49:00 Sorry if I ask inane questions, I am still learning ;o) andreas.hagen (15380)
