747344	2009-02-13 07:54:00	If someone gets charged with murder and admits to it / pleads guilty to it, they wont get sentenced in a youth court (its not under YC jurisdiction). It's the likes of him that sees businesses pour out thousands of dollars to remove their **** from the walls. Some small businesses are even going bankrupt because they just can't afford to remove the **** every month. Thats what the youth justice and youth offending sections of the police are for! What? Waste taxpayers' money? You're in youth justice, but you are defending Jah'che, who killed an innocent person? Where's the restoration in that? This is not a matter to take into your own hands. I agree. But when the law doesn't do what it's supposed to, some people can be persuaded to do things they won't normally do. If this guy gets only 4 years w/ 17months until parole then jah'che should too there no difference between these cases THEY BOTH MURDERED SOMEONE. Let me ask you something. Say I killed an elderly woman for her handbag, and someone else kills a serial rapist. In saying the emboldened quote, does that mean the elderly woman and the serial rapist are the same? HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED THE FACT THAT VANDALS CREATE BUSINESS? do you think EVERY peice of grafitti is cleaned-up by people on pd and community groups? NO. This man killed an innocent person. this kid hadnt hurt anyone. he had sprayed some words on a wall. how about the next time you do some graffiti i put a knife in you because your not innocent? AYE? didnt think so. -p.s not really defending vandals; im just saying that they dont all destroy businesses they actually make some prosper EDIT- yes you get the same sentence as the serial rapist killer. you both killed a human being and it doesnt matter what his previous crimes were; now youve taken his life he has no chance to repent and make right his wrongs or alternatively go the other way; but then again this is his choice because we live in a free nation. I was also not on the Jury so therefore I really have no opinion. This person was charged with Murder and the Jury came back with a verdict of Manslaughter which carries a lesser penanlty. I am not perfect and therefore make my own decisions based on what I think I know. Of course what I think I know is based on my whole life exeperience. This would take in to account what Parents and Teachers or new term Caregivers would have you believe. I do think that some people waffle. Yeah, I know there are franchises set up to clean up graffiti . But in terms of social economy it is a huge hole leaking money . Few men earning some money doesn't justify thousands having to pay for the clean up . This man killed an innocent person . this kid hadnt hurt anyone . he had sprayed some words on a wall . Just because he didn't hurt anybody doesn't mean he's innocent . Do you even understand what innocent means? He's a criminal . A vandal is a criminal . Full stop . And graffiti is not just 'some words on a wall' . It's **** . It's ugly . It's not art, no matter what these scums say . How would you like some brat going around in your neighborhood splattering tasteless writing on the fences, walls and cars? how about the next time you do some graffiti i put a knife in you because your not innocent? The next time? There won't even be a first time . I'm not a vandal . I respect people's homes and cars . If I were to become one of those scum, I'd be glad if someone put an end to my misery . I have no problem with a criminal's life being taken away . As I see it they are parasites and giving them a chance to repent is a huge gamble whether they succeed or not . It's not economically viable where so much money is poured into such gamble when hospitals and public schools are grossly underfunded .	qazwsxokmijn (102)

I fully agree except some people are professional graffiti artists and they do a damn good job of it. Of course they don't go round at night (notice how the kids are too scared to do it during the day) and graffiti on peoples property without permission but the work they do actually do (with permission from whatever they're doing it on) looks pretty good to me. So I do agree that the taggers crap is not art, I think professional graffiti is art.	--Wolf-- (128)

747353	2009-02-13 09:47:00	The guy is a coward, He stabbed someone half his size to death. Anyone claiming he was in the right should go out and stab some teenagers to death. You won't of course, Your upbringing stops you from such heinous acts. I don't disagree but that nipper could have gotten away easily enough. You can't tell me that bloke could outrun him. I'd say there was alot more to the story than we are told and I'd say 4 years was a reflection of that. Otherwise I reckon he'd have got a lot longer.	johnnyfrango (14148)
