In XP you click on system / computer name / change the bottom option You go to the same tab in Win7 / Vista (computer name) Found it thanks. Went into there and the name showing is the correct one("Colin"). The one I dont want is the one called "Workgroup" as all the other Comps are on Colin |

You did create and SHARE a folder didnt you? In Explorer(XP), when I open My Network Places/MS Windows Network it shows 2 networks, The one called "Colin" shows the other machines. The Vista machine is under the name "Workgroup". I can find no way to get rid of the "workgroup" so hopefully the vista machine will appear under Colin. This is no big deal as I can access the Vista computer OK. Just tidying things up |
