If you consider that flight path and duration is decided by the helicopter and any landing does not involve repairs, it is merely difficult.
Most flights are quite easy, though expensive. ;)

747681 2009-02-14 22:40:00 I had a go on a RC glider once - all went quite well as it was flying away from me - but as soon as I turned it round to fly towards me everything was in reverse (as far as my brain was concerned). Deane F (8204)
747682 2009-02-14 23:54:00 The key to any RC hobby is to enjoy working on them just as much (if not more) as using them, If your not prepared for the tinkering then it will be a short lived distraction.

My last RC plane had a lifespan that could be counted in minutes, Though flying it inside a warehouse was probably not what they had in mind, and structural roof beams have little give in them.

747683 2009-02-15 06:25:00 I used to build & fly RC planes a few years back. Always intended to get a Helicopter but until now the batteries havent been good enough. I have done some research & found the Dynam Range of Models to be cost efficient & available on line with a parts backup. I recently bought a Vortex V2 trainer which I find to be an excellent model to lean with. It it only suitable for inside use but when I get more familiar with it I may venture onto one of the bigger models. Driftwood (5551)

I imagine I will be ordering spare parts by the end of the week.

747685 2009-02-16 03:04:00 Start flying in a warehouse, or somewhere with a wide open space, and get the hang of it before you fly it in the house. :D pcuser42 (130)
747686 2009-02-16 06:15:00 Yep I'll go along with that. It will dart about a bit until you get it trimmed.
I trim mine to hover more or less stationary hands off.

747687 2009-02-17 22:08:00 All right got it yesterday,

It's great fun I have had a few crashes at work, already bought xtreme rotors and landing gear (the originals didn't last me long)

And a spare battery is a must

Great fun though'

747688 2009-02-17 23:36:00 Sounds about right - 3 batteries is a good start until you decide how many you need ;) R2x1 (4628)
