849198 2010-01-16 05:14:00 I've got an LGW2442PA monitor hooked up via DVI to an ATI4850 graphics card on a Windows 7 PC.

Sometimes (not every time), but enough to be annoying, when I bring my PC out of sleep the monitor refuses to come out of 'power-saving mode'. I've tried unplugging/replugging the monitors power and signal cord. No luck

I've tried to find a way to disable the power saving mode on the monitor but the menu has the worst button navigation combos and now I've got it stuck in Korean. I quite like the idea of it going into sleep with the PC anyway.

How can I fix this?

849200 2010-01-16 11:47:00 Thanks, but that post relates to getting a PC to stay asleep and how the NIC power options effect it, not how I can revive my monitor supersi (8401)

849202 2010-01-18 12:04:00 It's not the monitor at fault, it's the video card. It's not reinitializing properly and displaying anything, so the monitor never bothers to turn back on.

This problem is usually caused by an out of date driver for the video card or another device, or a bad setting to do with power management in the BIOS or an out of date and buggy BIOS.

It's usually the driver, though. Have you got the latest driver for you graphics card?
