Limewire on its own is not the problem - the actual program is not illegal, and there are many legal downloads that are being brought through Limewire. Its what people are using Limewire for - meaning downloading illegal content. Heres an example - Say some one writes a book and distubitues it Via P2P - more or less saying - here take it for free - not a problem and nothing illegal. As for every one laughing at NZ--- There is already a court case as described here in Aust last November (whirlpool.net.au) - of an ISP being taken to court for not doing enough to stop illegal downloads. |
