2010-01-22 02:36:00 | Running Windows 7 and today downloaded FF 3 . 6 . All works well but for PDF issue . Try to download a PDF and FF closes . On restarting FF a dialogue box that expresses "disappointment that pages may not be restored" . Click on restore and pages come back but no PDF . Have gone through every Adobe and Mozilla reference in support and help files and the suggested fixes therein, but no success . Have reloaded FF and adobe reader twice in the process . Have reverted to 3 . 5 . 7 and all works well . I'm stumped! Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks .

2010-01-22 03:02:00 | Thanks Speedy.... I'd love to solve the problem, but too much time on it already today! Foxit will do for now, and it is not bloatware.

2010-01-22 03:05:00 | I've had no problems today with FF 3.6 and pdfs in WinXP Pro, as Speedy suggests try Foxit, especially the Foxit Plugin addon for Firefox which quote: "Foxit Firefox Plugin installs a simple Foxit Reader into the Firefox web browser, this free add-on allows users to display, view, edit and print PDF documents in the browser." www.foxitsoftware.com Scroll down a bit to find the plugin. You can also save the pdf as a file from the browser window after the pdf has opened in FF.

2010-01-22 03:09:00 | You can also install the plugin from foxit, once you install it. I use it with 3.6 of FF here. There is also foxit preview handler for OL 2007. So, you can preview PDF files from within OL 2007. It does a pretty good job | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-01-22 03:35:00 | Thanks everyone. Have reloaded 3.6 and transferred to foxit and I can now read a PDF!! Happiness is getting the beast on side!

2010-01-23 06:42:00 | I had a lot of strife with FF 3.6 in W7 locking up & taking forever to launch. Went back to 3.5 and will stay there, works fine!

2010-01-23 07:31:00 | I have installed Foxit Reader and the plugin for Firefox but PDFs just won't display in Firefox 3.6 when I click on them. | Makall (15584) | |
2010-01-23 07:51:00 | Had Makall's problem start up today. Foxit forum indicates that they are working on a fix for FF 3.6 as the problem is quite wide it seems. You can get a pdf open outside of the browser as a download though. Make sure, they say, to have the latest Foxit Reader from their site. Adobe and Foxit don't seem to be up with 3.6 play yet. All a bit of a niusance.
