850743 2010-01-22 00:29:00 It the USB Print Server going via RJ45?

I have a MF unit. I want to share that while it is not connected to a working PC.

850744 2010-01-22 00:31:00 Thats what a print server does. Lets you print to a printer, even if the PC is off Speedy Gonzales (78)

Is that USB or what connection. I want to network it around the house. Ie., computers upstairs and downstairs.

850746 2010-01-22 00:34:00 Well some do have an ethernet connection on them. You have to connect it to a LAN connection to get it to work Speedy Gonzales (78)

850749 2010-01-22 02:47:00 I have a print server plugged into my router, which in turn is connected to a WAP. That way I can print from my laptop wherever I happen to be in the house. If you have wireless in your house already, you could try this too.

The print server was bought from DSE. Prick of a thing to set up for networking, but once it is going it is rock solid.
