| 850649 | 2010-01-21 19:59:00 | Hi all, the above new system is experiencing what sounds like lock ups!. The user is stating the keyboard and mouse stop responding and he has to power down then up!....I havent visited the site yet, probably next week, but I imagine the motherboard isnt reading the SPD of the RAM corrrectly and does have the correct settings... The rest of the system is coolmaster 550w, phemon BE 955 and ATi4850 w\ SSD Thoughts? |

If not, it won't be running over ddr3-1333 cl9 by default. can't hurt to give them a bit more juice though to see if that fixes it. RAM problems I've had in the past have caused lock ups like that (as opposed to BSODs or just plain ol resets), but yeah it could be anything. |

| 850654 | 2010-01-22 04:32:00 | Yeah, check all the voltages and stuff. When I first turned on my new build the auto function put the RAM at 1.5v @ 1600MHz. It booted, but would probably run into problems as it's meant to run at 1.65v @ 1600MHz. | qazwsxokmijn (102) | ||

| 850656 | 2010-01-22 06:09:00 | This is one of the FAQ's on the site for this mobo I recently upgraded my memory modules. After the upgrade, sometimes my system is not stable. It may get BSOD or hang during OS loading. How do I resolve this issue? The issue may be related to the voltage setting of your memory modules. The standard operating voltages of DDR2 and DDR3 memory modules, as defined by JEDEC, are 1.8V and 1.5V, respectively. However, some of the memory modules require higher operating voltage than JEDEC’s standards. In such case, the memory may sometimes not be able to function properly without enough voltage. When you encounter instability issue, please first check the operating voltage of your memory modules, and please manually set the memory voltage accordingly in the BIOS. If it were SAMSUNG-DDRIII1333-2G (M378B5673FH0-CH9), then the latest BIOS update should fix it. BUT, I dont think it is |
