| 850560 | 2010-01-21 06:53:00 | Windows 7 I am finding that after my pc has been in dile for sometime and when I jiggle the mouse to bring it out of sleep the desktop icons have disappeared. On occasions even the pointer is gone and the pc has frozen. The only remedy is to power off and then power on. On other occasions the pointer is there and no desktop icons. The show the desktop icons is ticked. Is there some setting that I should be loking at that may help solve the problem. Does anyone else have the same problem and know how to fix it. David |

| 850564 | 2010-01-21 09:10:00 | The error related to turning on the windows update messages only which will not be part of the problem i'm pretty sure. I am wondering if this problem may have something to do with the power settings between the hard drive, display and sleep. |
