749350 2009-02-20 03:15:00 Depends how it blocks them. The rubbish ones will load them but just not let them display, the good ones will prevent the download of the ads completely.

As far as I know, both IE7Pro and Adblock+ prevent the download.

I tried posting on my faster and better unit and the same thing . I get the little load-bar thermometer (Firefox device) that pops in when I click on a link but now it's when I am typing, so it's another dynamic somewhere I think .

I ran a speed test and I see that good ol' Verizon has dropped my speed a little so I will call them in the early hours when India and Pakistan IT "experts" are asleep and I can get someone in the King's English .

Hmmm . . . could it be the Firefox dynamic spell-checker making things slower?

No but I keep going in there to check when new sit reps come in.
