So all of these things are their fault and therefore the CEO's fault so he should have voluntarily cut his salary by 80% not the 8% he did (what a pathetic gesture) But come on guys this thread is about creating jobs not getting at fat cat CEO's. |

The cycle track is a good idea, I am not a cyclist, but it will be good for tourism, and will employ 4,000 people while they build it. But we needed 10 more projects like that ! Mainly ones to get the building industry going again. Not the retail industry which just sucks in Chinese junk. |

| 750391 | 2009-02-28 20:32:00 | 1:12 Just like Communists in Cuba where a bus driver gets paid the same as a airline pilot. Good at work at the moment the drivers dont say get ****** I am outta here I will get job down the road. I hired a driver 2 weeks ago and he didnt even ask what the pay was The recession will soon be a depression and the only way out will be an export led recovery of primary produce. The farmers, fishermen and forestry will save us. |

I'd like to think so, But on tv1 a program is coming up on how we are helping the Chinese to grow better fruit ! They already have Dairy farms in Mongolia as big as New Zealand. And they exported lots of milk powder to Europe etc for use in biscuit and lollies etc. China has heaps of land, a wide range of climate and lots of cheap labour. |

| 750393 | 2009-03-01 00:02:00 | 1:12 Just like Communists in Cuba where a bus driver gets paid the same as a airline pilot. There is a logical discontinuity between the ratio you have quoted me as proposing (1:12) - and the ratio that you claim obtains at the moment in Cuba of 1:1 Just to spell this out extra-clearly to you - 1:12 is not the same as 1:1 If 1:12 was the same as 1:1 it would look like this: 1:1 But it doesn't. It looks like this: 1:12 Hope this helps. |
