2010-01-23 19:21:00 | I have installed Foxit Reader and the plugin for Firefox but PDFs just won't display in Firefox 3.6 when I click on them. I'm not sure what you mean. If you have a pdf file on your computer then clicking on it should open the file in Foxit Reader If you click on a url which points to a pdf like this one: www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/pubs/malware_biz.pdf then the pdf should be opened in Firefox by the Foxit plugin.

2010-01-23 20:17:00 | Opened fine here in FF3.6 + foxit and Win7 64bit Terry | gary67 (56) | |
2010-01-23 21:27:00 | Ditto -- Same here, that link / PDF opens fine, W7 FF 3.6 and foxit reader pro. It did take about a minute to open due its size. Sometimes if you have a slow connection on a larger pdf it will take a while. Just double check the Plugin is still there -- In FF Tools/Add-ons / Plugins -- Mines Version 1.0.0.1 ALSO check for any updates in Foxit Reader, there is a new FF update- open Foxit Reader / Help - Check for updates

2010-01-23 23:34:00 | This work around finally got foxit running a pdf inside FF 3.6 and Windows 7 for me: Unloaded all versions FF completely except for profile. Left Foxit as an application on the drive. Went back to a restore point prior to any loading of 3.6. Downloaded 3.6 to folder. Installed it.This done over FF 3.5.4(not as an upgrade from the 3.6 beta which I had removed) Went to Foxit and installed FF plugin. Went to Applications in FF and selected Foxit. Disabled Adobe plugin. enabled Foxit plugin. It now works! Why, I don't know, but several frustrating hours ........ Thanks to all for their help.

I have disabled "Display in Browser" in Acrobat, enabled "Display in Brower" in Foxit. Disabled the Adobe Reader plug-in and enabled the Foxit Reader plug-in. Went into options --> Applications tab and set .pdf files to "Always open with Foxit (plug-in for firefox)" Re-installed Firefox completely. And it still doesn't ****ing work. When I click on a .pdf file URL, it just loads for a split second and does nothing. This is starting to get annoying. I wanted to use Foxit in Firefox over Adobe because I have that stupid bug where a blank dialog box pops up when I click on a .pdf URL and then it displays nothing. The only fix is to open Acrobat while displaying the blank pdf file in Firefox and hit refresh (And yes, I know I can save the file to my computer first and view it). I've disabled all signs of Adobe Reader opening PDFs both in Acrobat itself and Firefox and enabled all signs of Foxit opening PDFs in both Foxit Reader itself and Firefox. Is the Foxit plug-in just not working or what? It came with Foxit 3.1 so I assume it should work. |

2010-01-24 06:43:00 | Uninstall adobe reader, DONT just disable it. Run foxit, then go to help / set to default reader. Did you install the plugin from within foxit as well? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-01-24 07:05:00 | Is that the only way? Cause I need the PDF printer from Acrobat. Foxit is default PDF Reader. It's also set as the default PDF Reader in Firefox. I downloaded the plugin from Foxit's site and installed it from Foxit (Help --> Install Update --> .fzip file).
