2010-01-22 21:51:00 | Friend of mine bought a mini tower at Stationary Warehouse and it is loaded with 60 day programs and other junk. Besides using Add/Remove Programs (WinXP), is there a free program that will get rid of the junk? Yeah, I know ACER is not the best, but that is what he has.

2010-01-22 22:18:00 | Acers usually have a restore partition with the crap included, and an option to make restore dvd also with crap. :) | feersumendjinn (64) | |
2010-01-22 22:21:00 | Whats wrong with using add/remove programs? If they've got removal tools use it. Or use Revouninstaller | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-01-22 22:32:00 | www.pcdecrapifier.com That's it. Thanks. Sweep - yes, reformatting would be the best way but would take longer and I don't believe he has a WinXP disk, only the restore partition as feersumendjinn points out. Speedy - pcdecrapifier is easier and quicker to use than Add/Remove. THE CHOICE OF ACER. My friend's old pc was an ACER and I told him it was crap but he did not believe me and still does not even though the mobo in his 3 yr old Acer crapped out yesterday and never did perform well. He needed a replacement pc quickly for his business and went to DSE and Noel L's. The $500 Acer at Warehouse Stationary was the best deal so he got it.

2010-01-22 23:00:00 | Alot of business users are quite happy to use xp, my dad (walky talky radio things technician) still uses ME I believe. It does what they need it to and means that computers last longer, as well as been less cluttered to run diagnostic programs etc on | hueybot3000 (3646) | |
