| 850758 | 2010-01-22 02:46:00 | Hi, in the past I grabbed a WinxP HDD off one PC attached to mine. I had to seek a MS article on taking ownership of the HD before I can access it. It did not ask for a pasword. I was able to access "My Documents". Is it possible that without the password you cannot access the particular folders? |

The only way you'll put a password on it, is to encrypt it or the whole hdd. With something like truecrypt. Just dont forget the password. Or you wont get into it either. Easier way if the case can be locked and the hdd is in the case, lock it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 850762 | 2010-01-22 03:22:00 | Perhaps a 3rd party software to encrypt folder(s)? | Nomad (952) | ||
| 850763 | 2010-01-22 03:36:00 | Thats why I said truecrypt. Its a 3rd party program | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
