| 850252 | 2010-01-20 18:36:00 | I have been running my laptop with a monitor for a while now. This morning it won't stay on. It flashes the screen for a few seconds and then turns itself on again. The settings have not been changed, and all the wires are properly connected. I doubt it is the drivers to blame for this since this has been working fine for a long time now. Some old AOC 19" and a 13" hp dv3120xt, connected using a VGA cable (tried the DVI cable with a VGA converter at the laptop end to no avail) Any ideas? |

Also does the screen on the laptop stay on when running from the laptop as normal without the monitor. If I read that right - you have tried two monitors already ? |

No, just bright green for a second then totally off. It doesn't say "no signal" or anything. And just shuts off. And back on in about two seconds. Also does the screen on the laptop stay on when running from the laptop as normal without the monitor. If I read that right - you have tried two monitors already ? Yeah, I have no problem using the laptop alone. I have tried one monitor but two sets of cables. |
