751899 2009-02-27 21:25:00 What time do you guys get up on a work / school day?

I got a new job this week (Wellington) . My last place had 7 . 5hr per day that still paid out 8hr (full time) to us . This one is 8hr and cos I take the bus to work, so started taking the 6 . 55/7 . 10 bus depart takes about 45mins as oppose to say peak time where it can take up to 1hr 20 . Reach work at 7 . 45 . So I can go home at 5pm (lunch break not counted as work hours) . Or if I take 30min lunch, I can go home at 4 . 30 .

I have noticed the 7 . 10 bus is gets full before it arrives to the adjacent suburb . Even students in school uniform . I prefer the 6 . 55 .

If I travel at peak time 7 . 30, I may get there 8 . 45 . With the 1hr lunch means I go home at about 6pm, reach home at 6 . 45pm .

So I end up getting up at 6 . 25 and have breakfast at work .

I just don't enjoy paying petrol and carpark fees .

751902 2009-02-27 21:44:00 normally get up around 6.30am weekdays, i started working out last year so i love the morning workouts, hate doing it in the afternoon cos i am too tired by the time i get home. 751903 2009-02-27 21:45:00 No fixed time for me, depends if I have been on a bender the night before.
Average time would be 0730, brekkie, read news on computer till 0930 then off to depot get there around ten.
Weekend just depends on severity of hangover and neigbours starting lawn mower.

751905 2009-02-27 22:01:00 Not working at the moment, so I get up after the kids are on their way to school (about 8.15am) and this way no dramas for the use of the bathroom!

When I was working at the bottom of town (Auckland), I could leave home at 7.40am, drive to Birkenhead Ferry, park (for free!) and catch the 8.05am to town. Arrived in the CBD at 8.20am and sitting at my desk by 8.30am. Left at 5.00pm (or just after) to catch the 5.20pm ferry back. Home before 6pm.

In the weekends I ride early in the morning, so I'm up at 6.30am o Saturday and 6.00am on Sunday. I take my pleasures seriously!! :)

751908 2009-02-27 22:26:00 Week days - about 7.30 - have breekie, shower, get dressed etc, take my son to school at 8.30 - then generally start work. Wife leaves at around 7.45 to catch train into Wellington.

Weekends -- When ever I wake up, but usually about 8-9.
