750689 2009-02-23 19:00:00 Anyone else out there who can't stand that retarded Sensodyne ad? The one where the lady talks about going for a swim and you think she's going to tell you how she broke her neck when she "dove" into the sea (btw ad people, we like to use British English in NZ, where the past tense of dive is "dived"), but it turns out she takes a mouthful of seawater and her teeth hurt! That ad is soo retarded!!
And then she says it's no big deal to switch toothpaste! D'uh! Why would it be? I switch toothpaste everytime I go to the supermarket. I hate that ad! Stupid, mental, pointless. Sensodyne should ask the advertising company for their money back 'cos that ad sucks!

750690 2009-02-23 19:01:00 It's a big deal to switch to a toothpaste that's $9.00 a tube....:stare: Deane F (8204)
750691 2009-02-23 19:17:00 Good point. :stare:

But the ads are still stupid.

750692 2009-02-23 20:32:00 I use Sensodyne due to sensitive teeth and boy, if you've got teeth problems anything that works is a bargain at whatever price.

Hate the ads though.

750694 2009-02-23 20:43:00 I to think the ad is stupid. A bit of a attention grabber though. I keep a spare tube of sensodyne in the cupboard for when I get sensitive teeth. A couple of days of using it and every thing is back to normal. Use a $2-50 tube of Mcleans for everyday use or what ever is going cheapest at the supermarket.

750695 2009-02-23 21:37:00 Trev, the most I can use ordinary t-paste is the one night that the tube finally runs out and you haven't got a new one yet. Any more than one night = pain.

You watch the ads???:illogical:waughh:

If I had an ad on TV I would want it to feature in the worst and/or best category. In both cases the ad has been noticed. I would not care if anyone thinks my ad good or bad so long as they think about it.

Remember what the Hollywood movie stars say, 'Any publicity is good publicity.'

The makers of the ad and the Sensodyne people will be rubbing their hands with glee as they see their sales increase and watch the money roll in.

I'm certain they will retain the ad agency and ask them to do something as stupid as that one for their next ad.
