2009-02-28 08:54:00 | Bummer. or not. I know that by the time I shut the doors on my shop I was well and truly fed up with it, Though I beat myself up over it for a month afterwards. If you had the passion to keep it running then you would do so.

2009-02-28 09:40:00 | My sympathies pctek - I get the feeling you're one of the better techs in the region, it's a shame to see you close up shop. Best of luck with returning to being home-based, and fingers crossed you get your shop back again when finances allow (assuming you still want it of course!). All the best, Erayd

2009-02-28 09:50:00 | My condolences, hopefully it wont be too long before you can re-open in a bigger / brighter place though :D It is a rather cut-throat market out there ... On the positive side, now if your business is using part of your home space, you can claim on things like electricity etc ;)

2009-02-28 10:02:00 | If you had the passion to keep it running then you would do so.It is not quite that easy. Passion does not pay the bills (well OK, it does in some professions ), if your work drops off. Sounds like a good decision to go back to working from home, keep the business (and name/rep) ticking over, and then expand once things pick up again. Many don't have that choice. I've got friends who have been made redundant and have no show of getting work in their profession. :( | Jen (38) | |
2009-02-28 10:03:00 | Hopefully you will be able to ride through the recession storm and re-open a shop! | Renmoo (66) | |
